Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14 years old. Along with BJJ as well, she was also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. At age 18 years old, Ladd had her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in each fight. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen in a unanimous vote. It left a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from this loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015, signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and won via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen used superior wrestling to defeat McGill in third round TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd failed to make the weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound tactics which resulted in a TKO second round victory. She repeated her dominance and racked up an stunning victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd ended Evinger during the first round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd, who won the unanimous decision after a great back-and forth fight with the fighters, got the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. After a short break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya in UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In her recent fight for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. Her defeat was decided by majority decision.
