Arike Ogunbowale plays professional basketball with the Dallas Wings, a team that is part of the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale played college basketball as a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before being drafted to the Wings as the fifth-overall pick for the 2019 WNBA. Ogunbowale managed to take home the gold medal at the 2013 World U16 Championships of FIBA Americas and the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships. On July 7 2014 she was named for the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale also has been named on the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season. Kobe Bryant has congratulated the teenager after she hit a number of spectacular shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is not a newcomer to basketball but she has quickly made herself known.
