While I had one baby at my side and other children within the cradle was working 12 hour shifts cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! It was all starting to take shape, however we weren't anywhere near finished. For furnishing the space, it was going to be a huge effort in terms of time and money. It was also going to be a challenge to go out and shop for my most-loved items. To stay in the realm of budgets, I took to taking my kids to estate sales in search of diamonds. Our routine was to visit auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays as well as purchase various of pieces old and newly made. I'd spend my workdays at the end of the driveway, either painting or sanding. The look was a little similar to the following... This is the place where my passion for restoring antique furniture started. Even though our home was equipped, I couldn't quit. I had an area at the market where I sold items. In the end, I was stuffed with too many pieces to store in the room available. More than 1000 people came to my house in one weekend to buy everything that was on the ground. Growing Days was founded in my house. When my business grew, so did our little family. I was finding that balance of having to start a new business as well as a mother too. Growing Days was the obvious choice. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth child. My business was booming but I was in need of a break. I made the decision to take some break from my antique furniture and stay at home with the kids. This was precisely what I required. After a few months that the phones started to be ringing. They wanted my help in interior decoration as well as renovations. Most of these people were people who had been through my house during open house for furniture! In the following months, I began to take on new clients according to my own pace. Then I was able to have many clients and I was running a business of home renovations. If you'd have predicted that this venture of mine could become an idea for a TV show on DIY Network I probably would have laughed. In fact, I laugh slightly when I recall the episode.
